I have been working as an Instructional Services Librarian at Pace University since November 1999. We teach between fifteen and fifty sessions per semester on the Pleasantville Campus. Some sessions are simple tours with brief demonstrations of the library website while others can be specific guidance on how to use a particularly difficult database. Most of our sessions are course integrated, focusing on the assignment and specifics requested by the professor. Pace University includes the Dyson College of Arts and Science, the Lienhard School of Nursing, the Lubin School of Business, the Seidenberg School of Computer and Information Sciences, and the School of Education.
In my additional duties, I am the subject specialist for psychology, education, and arts. I am also a reference librarian, a blackboard librarian, and create web pages for our students. I compile much of the statistics for the instructional services department.
